How Can severe Lower Back Pain Be Treated?

I am a housekeeper. when making beds my lower back begins to hurt bad followed by a burning sensation in my left shoulder. both my hands go numb a lot but mainly my right. when I lie on my stomach it feels like my spine wants to bend the wrong way or over arched. what could be the prob. and what can I do?
